“But how do we know that Jesus is the only way, besides what the Bible says?

There are many other religions. . .”

There have been many religious founders and leaders throughout the centuries, but they have all died and are still in the grave.  Buddha, Mohammed, and company are all rotting away but Jesus rose from the dead. He is alive! Not only did He rise from the dead, He ROSE HIMSELF FROM THE DEAD! He is the only person in history who rose Himself from the dead! No other person in history could have resurrected themselves, because no one else had the power to do so.  So you doubt the resurrection? There are plenty of eyewitnesses, the eleven disciples (Judas Iscariot excluded). If that is not enough, the Bible says that after His resurrection, 500 witnesses saw Him alive at once (1 Cor 15:6).

But there are some that say that the resurrection was just one big hoax; that the disciples ran off with His body and claimed that He was alive. The Bible records that the Jewish priests and elders bribed the Roman soldiers that guarded Jesus’ tomb to say that the disciples stole His body while they slept.

Matthew 28
¹¹   Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch [Roman guards] came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. [They told them that Christ had indeed risen.]
¹²   And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
¹³   Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
¹⁴   And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
¹⁵   So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews [and others] until this day.

Is there any chance this body snatching story could really be true?  Notice that the disciples, who cowardly deserted Jesus when He was arrested, boldly proclaimed His resurrection even while being imprisoned, beaten, and killed for their testimony.  If it was only a hoax that they had pulled off, would they have suffered and died for a lie, altogether knowing that it was a lie? Would YOU suffer and die for a lie? Notice what joy they had, great unspeakable joy that no man could take from them, no matter what torments and persecutions they were put to. These men days weeks before had been completely down in the dumps, the man they thought was the Son of God and the Messiah had just been arrested and crucified. Do you think that they could have faked the “joy that no man taketh from you” that Jesus guaranteed would come to them after His death (John 16:22.) If you had faked it, would you be able to?

Another reason why Jesus Christ is the only way: All other religions besides Bible Christianity teach a form of salvation by
works.  God says that this is impossible and that our righteousnesses [good works] are
like filthy rags that cannot cover a single sin (Isa 64:6).  Another reason
that Jesus can be the only way is because salvation is by faith in His
sacrifice:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8,9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Rom 10:9

No other religion offers a free by-grace entry into Heaven, they all require works. Only Christ offers a free, by-grace entry into Heaven.
