Is "The Passion of the Christ," with all it's shortcomings, still an evangelical opportunity?

YES, and all the more so.

Since "The Passion of the Christ" contains totally Catholic teachings such as the Stations of the cross and the Co-suffering of Mary with Jesus, this is all the more reason to spread the true Gospel so that they won't go to the Romish church to hear the gospel of Mary.   They may see in the movie the Gospel truth mixed with the Catholic fables, and think the fables are truth, too.   Many people are leaving the theaters with questions, and if we don't reach out to them, they will go to the Catholic or the liberal (apostate) "churches."   People are asking questions, and we have to be able to answer them, even though we do not endorse the film.

Many churches are having question and answer sessions about the movie.   This is very good.   I heard from some Catholics that they went to one, and the priest didn't answer many of their questions, saying it was a mystery that they didn't need to know.   (This is unbiblical because the Apostle Paul said that he wanted to "make known the mystery of the gospel " (Eph. 6:19).)   So we need to get out the right answers or they will hear the wrong ones.   Better yet, do what my church has been doing.   They stand outside the theater passing out tracts when people come out of the movie.   This way, they are the FIRST to get to them, before they go to an APOSTATE CHURCH to get their answers.
