Deception XII: Interlude...Receive the Seed

Dear Christian Friends:
Greetings in the name of the ONLY wise God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
The hornets have been stirred up, but so have some seeking hearts. This
[relatively] short email is really for the latter.
In the hours when most people sleep, we need to steal away in the quietness
of night and commune with the Father. The more you seek His counsel, the
more you will see how critical it is that you do so. While in my closet this
morning, He brought to my mind the parable of the sower (Matt 13, Mark 4,
Luke 5). For those who have read these latest emails and decided that you
want more, I encourage you to LET THE SEED SINK into good ground.
In the parable of the sower,
(1) Some seed fell by the wayside. This is not you. This would be the
hornets. The devil came and took the word out of their hearts.
(2) Some seed fell on stony ground. These people immediately receive the
word WITH GLADNESS. BUT THEY HAVE NO ROOT IN THEMSELVES, and so endure BUT
FOR A TIME: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's
sake, immediately they are offended. I pray that this will not be you, glad
today and sad tomorrow. These people don't want to endure any hardships or
make any sacrifices because of the word they received...and when it's time
to do so, they drop off.
(3) Other seed fell amongst thorns. These people hear the word then the
cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other
things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. These people
let sins, money and cares of the world choke out the good word that they
received. They let their daily business and besetting sins just overrun the
good seed, the developing plant that was springing up from inside of them.
(4) Finally, there is the seed that is sown into good ground. These people
hear the word of God, receive it, and keep it. And as a result, THEY BRING
FORTH FRUIT. Some thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, some an hundredfold. Luke
says, that they "in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep
it, and bring forth fruit WITH PATIENCE."
I just want to encourage the seeking hearts to position themselves in
category number four. You have asked the Lord to fill you with His precious,
Holy, Spirit. Keep considering and praying about the word that was sown in
your heart. Do it everyday. Start removing any rocks and twigs and limbs
(habits, sins, relationships) that you ALREADY know are an obstruction. This
shows that you are serious. Prepare ye the way of the Lord and make His
paths straight. PREPARE for the coming of the Lord in His fulness. Ask the
Lord to reveal the vain thoughts that lodge within you, the plagues of your
own heart. Ask Him to search your reins and try you and prove you. Ask Him
to search your inward parts.
Moreover, STUDY TO BE QUIET, and to do your own business, and to work with
your own hands (I Thes 4:1) waiting on the Lord. Don't be too busy. Many of
us have too many useless things taking up our time that the Lord did not
tell us to do. In the course of you studying to be quiet, going to work,
reading the word, praying, spending time with your family, helping the poor,
etc. He will reveal many things to you. If you are not used to being quiet,
you may wonder what will replace all the activity--GOD WILL. The King of
glory will come.
Don't pollute yourself with the world and the THINGS of the world. Frankly
walk away from it. You may be like Abraham not knowing where you are going,
but just know that God has called you out and has something infinitely
better awaiting you.
As you wash dishes or do your job, always have in your mind a conscience
rectitude--a mind that you want to glorify the Lord at each moment and
fulfill all His will. That will make everything you do please and glorify
God. And when this is the case, you are blessed and sanctified all the time.
Everything that you dedicate to God like that will be blessed--He will make
you a better cook and a better accountant.
Also, let the seed you received establish a root system in your heart. Don't
just be a forgetful hearer. Keep considering the word that was sown in your
heart. Fast about it. In so doing, it will go deep into your affections.
Open every door of your life to the blessing of God. If there is a room in
your life that God is not pleased with, let His word come in and clean it
out. Pray and make the proper adjustments. As your strive to keep God's
word, He will meet you and help you. And one day you will realize that you
have gotten liftoff. You can liken this to a commercial airliner. You see
that big machine and you wonder how it could ever get off the ground. It
slowly moves to the runway and begins to taxi, gathering speed, running,
running, and finally "zoop!" it is off the ground, the wheels are retracted
and it is airborne. It will be the same for you, if you tarry in the word.
Day by day, you will strive for excellence in the word by running in the way
of God's commandments AND THE TIME WILL COME that you will get off the
ground AND YOU WILL KNOW IT. When you are airborne, you are no longer
running by your own power, the Holy Spirit, is powering you.
You may want to keep a little SPIRITUAL journal and write down insights that
the Lord gives you from His word. Write down revelations that the Lord gives
you. Write down prayers in your little journal and areas of growth. In time,
that little book will become a jewel to you--and perhaps to others. Read
God's word daily and pray about what you have read. You will feel the
cleansing that is taking place.
Be jealous of the word that you have received and let NOTHING choke it out.
For instance, if somebody does you wrong, don't get off track and get mad
and bitter, just love them, do something nice for them and pray until you
get that issue from off of you. That way nothing will stunt your growth and
choke out the word. The devil is not going to sit back and say, "That's nice
that that person is growing spiritually." He will use every trick and weak
link in your life to bring you down. That lion will roar in your life
through circumstances and people (including yourSELF). But if you keep your
focus on pleasing the Lord and receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit,
you will NEVER get off track.
Don't forget to pray with IMPORTUNITY (ref. Luke 18, the unjust judge)
asking for the fullness of the Spirit. Keep asking for the blessing UNTIL
YOU GET IT. King Jesus said that if we, being evil, give our children good
food, HOW MUCH MORE WILL THE FATHER GIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THEM THAT ASK
HIM (Luke 11:13). Food is necessary and our children don't stop asking for
it until they get some to satisfy their hunger. In the spirit realm, the
Holy Ghost is necessary for our life and we are not to stop asking for Him
until He comes.
IMPORTU'NITY, n. [L. importunitas.] PRESSING SOLICITATION; URGENT REQUEST;
APPLICATION FOR A CLAIM OR FAVOR,WHICH IS **URGED WITH TROUBLESOME
FREQUENCY** or pertinacity.
In the midst of you remaining a faithful servant, the King of glory will
come in.
God bless you. I am praying for you.
for Jesus' sake,
tracy

...they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them;
and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. And thou, son of man,
be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and
thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of
their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious
house.
